Go Above: Community Art in Cape Town

UBUNTU from ABOVE on Vimeo.

Street artist ABOVE initiated a community art project in Cape Town, South Africa.  Hundreds of discarded tires were littered across the impoverished town, so ABOVE decided to have the kids paint the tires then stack them into one unified totem pole.

The word UBUNTU is a southern African ethic or humanist philosophy focusing on people's allegiances and relations with each other.  Many of these kids have never held a paintbrush in their life.  We're thrilled to see ABOVE spreading joy and positivity to people across the world with his art.
