“There are few moments in young artists1 lives when they can look at their work and honestly say that after years of heading into a direction unknown, somehow it is exactly where it is supposed to be.  NUMA, a mature evolution of work investigating the parallels existing between science, nature and technology is the most honest rendition of Lopez1s work to date. This solo exhibit of personality and sincerity is where Lopez breaks away from his past and moves toward the more serious refined artist he is becoming.

Born in 1974 in Manila, Philippines, Jose Antonio Lopez moved to Washington, D.C., in 1981 with his family. He attended the Corcoran Museum School of Art before transferring to the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Some of Lopez1s previous exhibits include Data, a one man show held at the Bob Gallery NYC in 1998 and Space Pop, exhibited at the Philippine Center in early 2002.”
